"There Goes the Top of My Head" - a paraphrase of Emily Dickinson’s criteria for recognizing a true poem. Although I've left older posts here about all sorts of topic, for the foreseeable future, this will be my repository for anything literary: book reviews / reactions, writing journal, and any topics related to editing or writing poetry or fiction.

Special Saturday Spontaneous Poem
Here’s the extra spontaneous poem, followed by the assignment (for your inspection).
As soon as I uploaded this ditty, I realized that it betrays my status as "sports illiterate". There would be no need to slide if the ball went over the wall for a homerun. Oh, well. Such are the perils of spontaneous doggerel.

Keith,
I give you an A+. I enjoyed it tremendously. Of course, maybe it just looks like the dwarf was sliding. Afer all, he is a dwarf.

Brad
